Picture

Walter The Duck

Walter is a Mexican Duck who escaped from his owner weeks ago. There are sightings of him everywhere, but nobody can catch the little rascal!

Professor Phil was able to snap this picture of him. But when the wise and loving retriever asked, 'Would you care to live on my farm?' Walter’s response was: 'Catch me if you can,’  then he flew away!
Picture

deedee

Hee-Haw! DeeDee, a freckle-faced first-grade dropout, is a goofy but hardworking farm girl. She was an orphan living in a shoebox until Professor Phil rescued and brought her to the farm. Although DeeDee is a grown woman,  she behaves like a child, cannot spell cat if you give her the "c" and the "t" and is still missing her front tooth (but only a few know the secret why). DeeDee enjoys making dolls from corn, turning beets into Christmas decorations, and sleeping underneath apple trees. Although her wacky behavior is sometimes distracting, everyone knows DeeDee has a heart as big as can be.

Farmer Tom

Farmer Tom, a former special forces Marine, saw too much hate during wartime. He now wants to spend his retirement enjoying the peace and tranquility that Professor Phil's farm has to offer.  But ridding himself of war memories has not been easy. As a result, the farmer doesn't talk, smile or laugh much. Farmer Tom believes in taking care of one another and getting along. Thankfully, Professor Phil knows just what to do and allows the war veteran to farm the land. Farmer Tom shares what he grows, which he refers to as "the medicines of the earth," with the community which makes everybody feel welcomed and loved.
Picture

Ratty Mcrat

Ratty McRat, a former Miami street rat, is the number one cause of mischief on the farm. Slick and sneaky, Ratty never hesitates to prank and bother the other animals. Everyone is always on the lookout for Ratty since he is a master escape artist and tiny troublemaker. Despite Ratty's constant, mischievous tricks, Professor Phil knows that all Ratty truly wants is love and friendship.
Picture

Barnes Bear

Barnes Bear enjoys entertaining everyone on the farm with his gift of tap-dancing and theatrical flare. Big and lovable, Barnes is far from being ferocious as his enormous size might suggest. He has a heart as big as his pawprints and is easygoing and gentle. Barnes is the first in line to lend a helping paw, as long as there are no honey jars for him to stick his claws in.
Picture

Richard Rooster

Richard Rooster has the world's shortest attention span. Richard loves following Professor Phil around trying to be helpful but usually winds up causing more work for the professor. Richard usually jumps to conclusions and reacts to circumstances instantly, which typically results in chaos.
It is easy to tell when Richard is excited because he runs around in circles and flaps his wings. Richard also frightens easily and escapes his fear by fainting.
Picture

Busybody Bawkmeister

Busybody is the queen of the chicken roost and occupies her time by sticking her beak in everyone's business. Her thirst to know everything about everyone's lives often leads to rumors and misunderstandings that play out in hysterical ways.
Goodhearted but a bit uppity, her temper can get the best of her at times and results in outbursts of squawking. Still, Busybody prides herself on always knowing the "scoop" around the chicken coop.
Picture

Crowskegee
Air-Birds

The Crowskegees, a tough duo of old crows, are always ready to help those in need. They monitor the actions on the farm from high above, and, much like Farmer Tom, they understand a great deal
about sacrifice and courage. The Crowskegees have a special place on the farm, and they can launch into action whenever something threatens the peace and safety of everybody.
Picture

Oskar Otter

Oskar Otter is sensitive, compassionate, and supportive and often expresses himself through actions rather than words. He is a quiet little fella, but goodness, how loud he cries when he is sad! In fact, he cries so loudly that he can be heard all over the farm and beyond!
Picture

Marc Shark

Marc is a shark whose ferocious look and razor-sharp teeth make it hard to believe that he has a tendency to cry at the drop of a hat. Overly insecure, Marc tends to stick to the saltwater pond on the farm. Occasionally, Marc builds up the courage to leave the pond, but it's quite difficult without the help of Professor Phil's encouragement.
When Marc wants to avoid a scary situation, he quickly dives underwater where he feels safe.
Picture

Madison Mouse

Madison, the glamour mouse, is always dressed to the nines. Covered in jewels and obsessed with high heels, Madison is vain, wears too much lipstick, and can't bear the thought of anyone getting more attention than her. She regularly appears in Metropolitan Mouse Magazine and
cannot get enough of her own image in the mirror. Highly competitive, she will do anything to keep the attention on her -  from jangling her jewels and clicking her high heels to fiddling with her earrings and playing with her hair.
Picture

Gavin Gopher

Gavin reacts like a 10-year-old to most situations but has a child-like wonder for everything, especially his favorite candy—jawbreakers. He gets easily upset over bad haircuts, has no one to play with, and is embarrassed when put in the spotlight. Still, he is fascinated with nature and all its critters, particularly caterpillars.
This leads to his lifelong friendship with Cate, a constant companion whose transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly endears and bonds her to Gavin.

 Cate Caterpillar

Cate begins life on Farmer Tom's farm as a caterpillar adopted by Gavin Gopher, but ultimately transforms into a beautiful butterfly.  She doesn't speak, but can communicate with Gavin by fluttering her wings.  A symbol of change and the beauty of nature, she is always by Gavin's side. Cate worships Gavin and loves him for befriending and nurturing her during her transition.
“Wonderful! I have never seen a children’s book that addresses the many issues of today in such a clever manner. I look forward to seeing your stories in bookstores everywhere.” -award-winning author/illustrator Robert Quackenbush (Simon & Schuster)
